Day One: Your Alaskan adventure begins with a 3-night stay in Fairbanks – the “golden heart city.” Discover this gold rush boomtown’s unique mix of contemporary culture and rich history.
Day Two: Tap into Alaska’s “golden heart” with a visit to a locally owned gold panning experience, where you’ll learn about the region’s gold mining past and try your hand at panning for some paydirt yourself. Get to know Fairbanks on a city tour, including a stop at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, an engineering marvel that delivers oil across the state to the port city of Valdez. After some free time this afternoon, you’ll visit legendary Trail Breaker Kennel where you’ll meet mushers and their happy pups. Witness the dogs in their element on a training run before enjoying dinner on the kennel’s scenic property.
Day Three: Enjoy a full day at leisure in the city of Fairbanks. Take this opportunity to relax explore the diverse options the city has to offer. Look into the past at the Antique Auto Museum, where vintage cars sit between timely artifacts and fashionable designer dresses from times gone by, or take a ride on the Riverboat Discovery to get a glimpse into everyday life along Alaska’s rivers.
Day Four: Behold beautiful scenery as you relax and have breakfast in a deluxe domed railcar on your way to Denali National Park. Upon arrival in Denali, enjoy some free time to explore the Visitors Center. After it’s your choice! Join your Tour Manager on an easy hike and discover wildflowers and gorgeous views in every direction -OR- take a bus into the park where a ranger will introduce you to the park’s sled dogs – the traditional mode of Alaskan wilderness transportation. The evening is yours to discover Denali as you please. Perhaps you’ll enjoy an optional dinner theater outing at the Alaska Cabin Nite Dinner Theater, where the history of Denali is performed by your wait staff.
Day Five: Bring your binoculars and camera as you head deep into Denali National Park on a full-day Tundra Wilderness Tour.* Travel over 50 miles into the heart of the park and enjoy a wide range of incredible scenery, narrated history, and some of the best opportunities to view the park’s abundant wildlife.
Day Six: Leave Denali National Park behind and step into small-town life in Talkeetna. Check into the iconic Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, perched on a ridge offering unforgettable views of Denali. Perhaps you will take an optional flightseeing tour and witness the park’s breathtaking beauty from the air before landing on a glacier for incomparable views of the Alaskan Range. Later, meet up with a local for a discussion on the down-to-earth Alaskan lifestyle before dinner and beer at one of Alaska’s most popular micro-brewers.
Day Seven: On your way to Anchorage, discover the pastoral charm of Matanuska Valley. Enjoy free time in Palmer for lunch before you take a step into the past with a visit to a Musk Ox Farm. Learn about the Musk Ox project – a sustainable domestication effort that has worked to preserve, protect, and increase awareness for these wooly creatures since 1954. Get acquainted with Anchorage on a panoramic city tour before enjoying an evening at leisure to discover what Alaska’s largest city has to offer.
Day Eight: Delve into the area’s indigenous culture this morning at the Alaska Native Heritage Center where you’ll learn about Alaska Native customs, dances, songs local crafts. Head to Whittier and embrace the sheer magnitude of Alaska’s natural beauty on a glacier cruise* through Prince William Sound. Listen to an expert narrate your journey through a geological wonderland as blue skies collide with stark white glaciers and playful otters dip in and out of the calm waters. Tonight, gather at a local restaurant to toast to your journey through America’s last great frontier.
Day Nine: This morning your adventure comes to an end with your transfer to the Anchorage Airport and your flight home.

Day One: Arrival Norfolk Virginia Arrive Norfolk, Virginia Airport. Group departs from the airport for Kitty Hawk North Carolina. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and grandeur of Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina on this 1 ½ hour drive. As you get closer to the Outer Banks you will begin to catch glimpses of the bays and sounds that make up this ecological preserve. Once you arrive and after time to check in to the hotel you can enjoy some time exploring the area around your beachfront hotel. If time allows we might even fit in some Kayaking in the coastal areas! In the evening you will gather for a welcome dinner at Black Pelican Oceanfront – Kitty Hawk, NC. After the welcome dinner, enjoy your evening at your beachfront hotel walking along the beach, watching the waves, exploring the fishing pier, or exploring the town. Day Two: Roanoke Island After an enjoyable breakfast and a relaxing morning exploring the beach, you will leave the hotel at 8:15 AM for a short trip over to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. Here you will have the opportunity to learn about the "Waters of the Outer Banks" including learning about the local conservation efforts in the Sea Turtle Assistance and Rehabilitation. Learn about the unique fresh and sea water wildlife that calls these area home. Afterwards you will enjoy a visit to the Elizabethan Gardens created as a living memorial to the time when Sir Walter Raleigh’s lost colonists lived in this very place over 400 years ago. Once finished you can enjoy Lunch on your own along the Manteo Waterfront along with exploring its many shops and if interested explore the Roanoke Marshes Light House, Sandy Point and Roanoke Island Festival Park, and other areas. This afternoon you will have the opportunity to explore the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site to learn about the settlers who first came here along with the opportunity to explore the Coastal CN Refuges visitors center and hike/explore some the protected wetlands in the area. Day Three: Corolla Wild Horses Kayaking & 4x4 Tour This morning enjoy a tour to a see the legendary Corolla Wild Horses in their natural habitat on the Spanish Mustang Preserve. You will enjoy a great combo 4x4/Kayak tour this morning. First, enjoy a 4x4 excursion in search of the horses and other wildlife on the giant migratory sand dunes. Upon arriving in the Spanish Mustang Preserve you will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful and pristine waters of the Currituck Sound on a kayak. Navigate the labyrinths of creeks and marshes and witness firsthand the wildlife and sea life that abounds in this area. Once finished enjoy lunch on your own before exploring the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Currituck Banks Estuarie Reserve, and Whalehead beach to top off the afternoon. Dinner will be at Dinner incl. Day Four: Cape Hatteras National Seashore & Wright Brothers After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive down to Cape Hatteras National Seashore and enjoy exploring Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and the Buxton Woods Coastal Reserve and the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Museum. Lunch will be on your own in Buxton, NC before heading north again to the Wright Brothers National Memorial and Visitors Center. Learn about and experience their famous flight and enjoy this beautiful area. This afternoon you have the option of a Kayak Tour through the Kitty Hawk Bay and the Albemarle sound or you can explore Jockey's Ridge State Park and the Tallest active sand dune system in the Eastern United States. Day Two: Badlands National Park, adjacent to the beautiful Black Hills is our destination today. We’ll spend the entire day exploring and picture-taking in this incredible area. Also on the agenda is world-famous Wall Drug. (B,D)
Day Three: We’ll be up bright and early this morning to take in the exciting annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup. Park personnel, cowboys and cowgirls will do their best to drive the Park’s herd into the Buffalo Corrals – passing two designated – but safe – viewing areas along the way. This afternoon round out the day with train ride on the historic 1880 Steam Train. (B)
Day Four: Today’s sightseeing includes time to explore the Buffalo Roundup Arts Festival. This one-of-a-kind event includes a buffalo wallow chili cook-off, buffalo chip throwing contest, cowboy poets, musical entertainment, arts & crafts booths and much more. Then it’s on to the Crazy Horse Memorial, the still unfinished mountain carving dedicated to Native Americans, and the Shrine of Democracy, Mount Rushmore. (B)
Day Five: Today we’ll explore the rich and roistering gold camp of Deadwood, which provided the setting for the last great gold rush in America. Legalized gaming has returned to the storied gulch where the likes of Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and Poker Alice once walked. We’ll have time to try our luck at the tables, of course, but the highlight is a visit to Tatanka – the Story of the Bison, featuring a saga as compelling as any in American history, from its origins to its virtual extermination – and ultimate revival. The centerpiece of Tatanka: Story of the Bison is a larger-than-life bronze sculpture featuring 14 bison being pursued by 3 Native American riders. Tonight we’ll dine at the Deadwood Social Club. Day Four: Entering the smallest New England state, arrive in Newport, Rhode Island. This fascinating seaport is famous not only for its maritime history, but also for the fabulous summer homes built there during America’s glamorous “Gilded Age.” Visit Vanderbilt’s Breakers Mansion and get a glimpse of how America’s most elite families lived at the turn of the century. Day Five: This morning, set out along the scenic backroads of Vermont, which take you through such beautiful mountain villages as Newfane and Grafton. Weston is home to the Vermont Country Store, “Purveyors of the Practical and Hard-To-Find,” and Woodstock has been called the “prettiest small town in America.” While Vermont’s maple syrup season takes place in the spring, maple syrup products are readily

Day Six: This morning, follow the Kancamagus Scenic Byway through the White Mountains. Considered one of the world’s most spectacular fall-foliage trips, the road meanders through vast forests, old logging
roads, and Indian hunting paths. In North Conway, board the Conway Scenic Railroad for a leisurely ride through the White Mountains aboard vintage rail cars. After an included lunch in North Conway and a little time for outlet shopping, head back to Lincoln through Franconia Notch to see where the Old Man of the

Day Seven: Today, set sail for a journey across Lake Winnipesaukee on what has been called the “most beautiful cruise in New England.” Sail from the home port of Weirs Beach aboard the M/S Mount Washington tohe Old Man of the Wolfeboro, known as the oldest resort town in New Hampshire. Continue to Kennebunkport, one of Maine’s coastal jewels and the summer home to many of America's rich and famous. Day One: Depart the USA on your overnight flight to London, England.
Day Two: Welcome to England! Upon arrival at London’s Heathrow Airport, you’ll be met by a representative of Mayflower Cruises and Tours and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to become acquainted with your new surroundings and begin discovering ‘merry ole England’! This evening join your traveling companions for an included dinner, hosted by your Tour Manager. Meal: D
Day Three: Begin the day with a panoramic orientation tour of London. Your local guide brings history to life as you depart by coach to see the historical sites and architectural wonders throughout the city. Monuments abound from the impressive Marble Arch to the Nelson Column in Trafalgar Square.
Intricate façades decorate Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. Big Ben and the postcard-perfect Tower Bridge stand guard over the Thames River. The Victoria Memorial is showcased in front of Buckingham Palace. In contrast, the London Eye and the Shard are contemporary highlights to the skyline. Once you have the lay of the land, the afternoon is free to explore on your own. Meal: B
Day Four: Depart on a full-day excursion with your local guide for a visit to the 900-year-old Leeds Castle. Located in a picturesque countryside setting, and still surrounded by a moat, it has been called the ‘loveliest castle in the world’. Originally built as a Norman stronghold, the castle has evolved into one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain. From its military beginnings to uses as a palace by Henry VIII, private residence by royalty and political agendas, the local guide will tell tales of the history held within its walls.
After visiting the castle, continue by coach to the Eastern coast to witness the majestic ‘White Cliffs of Dover’. Known around the world for their place in history, as well as scenic beauty, they are considered England’s most spectacular natural phenomenon. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure. Meal: B
Day Five: Enjoy a full day at leisure to pursue independent interests or join the optional excursion to Windsor Castle. Perhaps you’ll visit the Tower of London, explore local markets, visit some museums, take a ride on the London Eye, shop for souvenirs, see a show at one of the many theaters, or simply relax at a local pub. Day Six: It’s time to say ‘cheerio’ to London as you depart for the station where it’s ‘all aboard’ the Eurostar. Sit back and relax during this high-speed train ride under the English Channel via the ‘Chunnel’ to Paris, France. Upon arrival in the ‘City of Light’, your coach will be waiting to take you on an orientation tour. Your local guide will provide commentary as you drive along the Champs-Élysées and see such famous sites as the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Bastille, Opera Garnier, Place Vendôme, Les Invalides, the Latin Quarter, the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. Day Seven: Adventure and local experiences await! What better way to ‘see’ Paris than from above! Your visit to the Eiffel Tower includes the lift ticket to the 2nd level where you’ll have spectacular views of the city center and surrounding areas. Be sure to have your camera ready! The next adventure is an immersion into local life as you attend a cooking class. Prepare a starter and main course, and then savor the fruits of your labor while enjoying the meal for lunch. Upon returning to the hotel, the rest of the day is left free of planned activities. Day Eight: Today’s included excursion begins with a journey by coach with a local guide to the opulent 17th-century Palace of Versailles. While visiting the palace, discover the former royal residence restored to its original grandeur. Day Two: This morning enjoy sightseeing of Ashville including the Thomas Wolfe Home and Museum. There will be some free time in downtown to explore and have lunch on your own. Then make your way to the Biltmore Estate for dinner at Deerpark followed by visiting the Biltmore House which will be transformed for Christmas with decorations, candlelight, fireplaces, live music and more. You will feel like you are guests of the Vanderbilt family. (B,D)
Day Three: Today you will enjoy a tour of Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Experience the scenic beauty, history and legends of the area and amazing overlooks on the way to Newfound Gap. After an increadable drive, stop in Gatlinburg with free time for lunch on your own and time to explore the Heritage Arts & Crafts Trail. Later in the afternoon, arrive in Pigeon Forge with some free time to explore The Island and sink your teeth into so wonderful southern food as you join the group for dinner at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. Day Four: After a leisurely morning, take another scenic drive as you travel to Nashville. After time for lunch on your own, enjoy a guided tour of the city including the State Capitol, Ryman Auditorium, the Parthenon, Music Row and more. After checking into the hotel, board the General Jackson for a special Holiday Dinner Cruise on the Cumberland River! After a delicious Prime Rib dinner enjoy the Music City Holiday Show which features beloved classic Christmas songs by artists like Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole, as well as modern holiday favorites by Mariah Carey, Michael Bublé, and more!
