Day One: Welcome to New Mexico – The Land of Enchantment! You will be met at Baggage Claim by your guide. Venture off the freeway and onto the Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway. Upon arriving in Santa Fe, check into Inn of the Governors. A welcome dinner is included this evening. (D)
Day Two: Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning from 6:30am-9:30am. Depart on a Walking Tour of Santa Fe with your Guide. Founded in 1609, the city offers many historic and scenic delights. Your tour will include the Old Santa Fe Trail, seat of government for more than 300 years, the Loretto Chapel, a miniature model of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris and the oldest church and home in New Mexico. Next, take a chance to stroll through the Indian Market, where native arts and crafts are available directly from the artists who created them. The tour will end at Sorrel Sky Gallery. This evening, the Santa Fe School of Cooking is included. (B, D)
Day Three: Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. Depart for El Santuario de Chimayó en route to Taos. Lunch on own and shopping in Historic Square. You'll have a chance to wander the streets, enjoying the atmosphere and browsing through the offerings of many artists, who have come here to capture the allure of this delightful town. Tour the Taos Pueblo, a village that has been inhabited for over 800 years, and whose adobe structures have changed little since the first Spanish explorers saw them. Depart for Santa Fe. As you return to Santa Fe, stop for pictures at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. (B)
Day Four: Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. Enjoy the morning and afternoon at your leisure in Santa Fe. Dinner and a performance of the world famous Santa Fe Opera is included today. The Santa Fe Opera shines in the High Desert, mystical and magical, taking you to a timeless place where the experience is like any other. (B, D)
Day Five: Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. Depart for Albuquerque. Arrive at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, with its amazing and interactive exhibits on the history and stories of the native Pueblo people. Visit Old Town where you will have free time to wander through the many shops and art galleries. Then fly home. (B)
